Fun on the Fourth of July

We started the morning early so we could be in the neighborhood parade at Grandma Pickett's.  I had to wake up Maddie.  She was like a rag doll that just flopped around as I tried to put her cute red, white, and blue outfit on.  She was awake by the time we got to Grandma's house though.  The kids had their scooters and were ready to go!  The parade was led by a golf cart with drummers on the back.  The kids followed with their bikes and scooters.  Zack zipped around on his scooter and Maddie decided that she'd had enough so we left Zack and Daddy to finish the parade while we scoped out the yummy breakfast.

We finished the day by playing at Grandma and Grandpa Maddux's house with cousins Hazel and Stockton.  Grandpa set up his awesome slip and slide and the kids went crazy.  We were too tired to stay up for fireworks.
